The Florida State College medical neighborhood is mourning the lack of its Chief Medical Officer Dr. Daniel Van Durme.

Identified for his management, friendship and larger-than-life persona, his presence and affect on FSU and the neighborhood will dwell on for a few years, Dr. Alma Littles, the FSU School of Drugs’s interim dean, stated in an announcement.

“He was an awesome particular person, fantastic human being and physician,” Littles stated. “He and I’ve been associates and colleagues for nearly 40 years, since we had been residents. Our kids grew up within the FAFP [Florida Academy of Family Physicians] collectively. I helped recruit him to FSU. He can be missed in so some ways and so many locations and by so many individuals.”
